About the Ministry New Birth Ministry is a ministry of reconciliation. We believe in the growth, knowledge, change, fruitfulness, victory and discipline in the lives of people. II Corinthians 5:17 says “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” New Birth Ministry strives to bring bible study to the community one household at a time.   About the Minister Elder Mark Mellix is the husband of Kimberly A. Covington (Mellix) and father of Mark Mellix Jr., Montel R Mellix and Nathaniel L Mellix. Elder Mellix is a graduate of Duquesne High School and of the Harty Bible School of McKeesport. He first served as deacon in his local church, Christ Soul Saving Station in Duquesne. He received his calling to the ministry in 1989 under the leadership of Rev. Raymond Carter and Rev. Wilhelmina Carter. He then became a licensed minister and in 1995 he was ordained a minister by the Soul Saving Station Board of Elders. Elder Mellix is the Pastor of New Birth Ministry Soul Saving Station in Pittsburgh Pa and serves as District Secretary in his district under the leadership of Dr. Wilhelmina Carter who serves as Mid-West District Elder. The Lord has given Elder Mellix a word to go forward with this new ministry to help all people and point them to Christ. (John 10:16 and Ezekiel 34:6)   Mission Statement New Birth Ministry endeavors to teach and preach the word of God with the bible as its authority and the Holy Spirit as its guide. Also, our goal is to take men and women’s basic understanding of the bible and enhance it with bible study in the homes.
